Today our guide will meet you and take you on a visit to some of the most authentic places of Porto while sampling some of the most well-known food and drink specialties of the city (and Portugal).

The first stop of the day will be to take a look at the Livraria Lello, considered by many as one of the most beautiful libraries in the world. The tour will then continue to the traditional shop "A Vida Portuguesa", where you can find some of the most representative items of the past century that remained in the memory of the Portuguese (toys, soaps, decorative articles, etc.).

You will then continue towards Avenida dos Aliados, stopping first at Padaria Ribeiro, a bakery which history goes back to 1878, where you can try the best veal pies in the city!

Continuing downwards, you will enjoy some chocolate at the traditional "chocolatery" Arcádia  (Rua do Almada). Belonging to the same family since 1933, they keep the family tradition in their recipes and manufacturing processes, where only selected natural products are used.

For a cup of coffee, the "Café Majestic", will be the perfect stop. This is the most famous Café of Porto, located in the traditional shopping street of Santa Catarina. You will love its Belle Époque architecture, reminding you of the days when the Café Majestic was the main gathering place for painters and writers at the beginning of the 20^th century.

SUGGESTION: At the end, if you are hungry, we may suggest one of the traditional restaurants, in order to taste the famous "Francesinha", accompanied by a "Fino" (glass of Portuguese beer). Francesinha is a famous recipe in Porto. A heavy sandwich, with slices of bread and different kinds of meat, covered with melted cheese and a unique sauce (it may also be served with French fries and a fried egg if you order a special one).
